Scott Kristopher Innes

? A celebration of life for Scott Kristopher Innes, 16, Overland Park, will be at 6 p.m. today in the Blue Valley Northwest High School auditorium in Overland Park. Memorial services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church in Overland Park with a private family burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens Courtyard of Memories.

Mr. Innes died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004.

He was born May 13, 1987, in Merriam, the son of Bob and Barb Innes.

Mr. Innes attended Blue Valley Northwest High School, where he was a manager for the varsity soccer team. He was recognized as Teenage Cancer Survivor of the Year by the Cancer Golf Association of Greater Kansas City and was an honorary caddie for Jack Nicklaus at the Children’s Mercy Golf Classic, both in 2002.

Survivors include his parents, of the home; a brother, Stephen, of the home; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Faye Young, Lawrence; and a paternal grandmother, Melba Innes, Burlington, N.C.

The family suggests memorials to the Scott K. Innes Memorial Fund to be used for scholarships, sent to Blue Valley Northwest High School, in care of Mitch Lubin, 13260 Switzer Road, Overland Park 66213.
