Lawrence Catholic School is a Catholic parochial school that serves the Roman Catholic church congregations in Lawrence.

About 400 students in kindergarten through sixth grade attend the school's two campuses, which are at each of the city's two Catholic parishes: St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1234 Ky., and Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 6001 W. 15th St.

The St. John campus has been in operation since 1956.

In 2000, when the new Corpus Christi Church was built, St. John School was renamed "Lawrence Catholic School" and the Corpus Christi campus was opened with 23 kindergartners. Today the Corpus Christi campus serves K-4 with a new grade added each year.

The school's mission statement is as follows: "The Lawrence Catholic School will prepare all students to be successful in their educational and spiritual lives."

Pat Newton is the principal for both campuses. There are about 40 faculty and staff members combined at both campuses.

The St. John Campus number is 785-843-9511. The Corpus Christi Campus number is 785-331-3374.
