Services for Thomas J. Thompson Sr., 77, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at St. Francis Health Center in Topeka.
He was born May 10, 1927, in Wichita, the son of Homer and Edith Williams Thompson.
He was a tire builder at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. for 33 years and retired in 1989. He was a member of United Steelworkers of America Local No. 307 in Topeka.
He married Davida Jones Kelly on Aug. 16, 1961, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include five sons, Louis Thompson, Los Angeles, and Thomas J. Thompson Jr., Steven Kelly, Dennis Kelly and David Kelly, all of Topeka; four daughters, Sheryl Lange and Martha Thompson, both of Los Angeles, and Davida Kelly and Kimi Johnson, both of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time Thursday at the mortuary.
