Be reasonable
To the editor:
It is cruel and unusual punishment to leave a mentally ill person to die on the street. Perhaps our privacy laws have gone too far; the pendulum must swing back to something reasonable. Too many street people need the help of our mental hospitals. A country song comes to mind: “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.” We have fallen for some absurd “freedoms.”
