Dates have been set for Kansas University basketball coach Bill Self’s 2005 summer camps for youths and his new two-day parent/child camp.

Session one of Self’s camp for males between the ages 8 and 19 will be June 12-16, with a second camp session set for June 19-23. Cost for boarding campers is $400 and for day campers $305. Applications are available, and campers can register at kuathletics.com.

Self will introduce his parent/child camp for boys and girls ages 4 to 7 on June 24-25.

The camp will emphasize fundamentals and games that, according to the brochure, will “be fun and exciting for both parent and child. Participants will enjoy their time both on the court and in the dorms eating pizza and watching movies. Current and former KU players will be active participants in all aspects of the camp.”

Cost for that camp is $195 per child/one adult combo. Information is available at KUathletics.com.
