Doughty-Rea

Liz Doughty, Lindsborg, and Thatcher Rea, Lawrence, were married Oct. 2, 2004, at the Victorian Veranda Country Inn in Lawrence with the Rev. Don Ogden officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Sharon and Gavin Doughty Jr., Lindsborg. The groom is the son of Frank and Kelly Rea, McLouth.

Liz and Thatcher Rea

Maid of honor was Marie Morgan. Best man was Benjamin Rea. Bridesmaids were Colette Conway and Wendy Seager. Groomsmen were Andrew Rea and Tyler Rea. Ring bearer was Micah Doughty. Petal scatterer was Ethan Doughty. Reception soloist was Andi Doughty. John Doughty was music maestro. Cake servers were Shawna Ziglinski and Tiana Ziglinski. Margene Pressler was ceremony coordinator.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Victorian Veranda Country Inn.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Smoky Valley High School, Lindsborg. She is a 2002 graduate of Kansas University. She is a technology specialist for the Northeast Kansas Library System.

The groom attended Glendale High School, Springfield, Mo., and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1996. He graduated from Weatherford College in Weatherford, Texas, in 1999.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Yoder-Chang

Elizabeth Yoder, Dallas, and Nathan Chang, Lawrence, were married Aug. 14, 2004, at Lawrence Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Vogler officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Denise Yoder, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Teddy and Sandra Chang, Olathe.

Matron of honor was Jennifer Shear. Best man was Paul Chang. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Morrissey, Susan Brownback, Jillian Sherwood, Francie Harwell and Sarah Puttcamp. Groomsmen were Nehemiah Hanson, Chase Pettus, Luke Bauer, Forrest Dawkins and Daniel Puttcamp.

Elizabeth and Nathan Chang

Lily Bay was flower girl. Ring bearer was Josiah McElmurry. Candle lighters were Elizabeth Wiebe and Abigail McElmurry.

A reception followed the ceremony at Abe & Jake’s Landing in Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas University. She is pursuing a master’s degree in nursing at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

The groom is a graduate of Olathe East High School and KU. He is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree at Westminster Theological Seminary in Dallas.

The couple reside in Mesquite, Texas.

Adeyanju-Sokari

Toyin Adeyanju and Telemate Sokari, both of Lawrence, were married July 31, 2004, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence with the Rev. David Kent officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Matthew and Rachel Adeyanju, Athens, Ohio. The groom is the son of Dr. Abio and Ine Sokari, Kansas City, Kan.

Maid of honor was Yemi Adeyanju, and matron of honor was Marie Taylor. Best men were Melville Goswell and Alex Mureithi. Bridesmaids were Gbaike Ajayi, Janea Anderson, Fion Cheng, Renee Low, Nadia Parker and Pamela Scott. Groomsmen were Alex Adeyanju, Femi Adeyanju, Michael Adeyanju, Tobi Dawodu, Erumsele Iboaya and Adam Olberding.

Flower girls were Jesse Cox, Sarah Ogunmuyiwa and Mercy Pryhozen. Ring bearer was Zechariah Ogunmuyiwa. Candle lighters were Katie Burk and Maggie Burk. Ushers were Robert Amajoyi, Jeremiah McCluney, Alex Ogunmuyiwa and Dorian Jordan. Guest book and gift table attendant was Lase Ajayi. Program attendants were Eniola Ajayi and Claire Sanner. Readers were Janine Cox, Nketi Forbang and Alex Ogunmuyiwa. Chalice bearers were Dr. Steve Segebrecht and Lynn Segebrecht. Acolytes were Jack Sanner, Rachel Sanner and Ray Segebrecht. Soloists were Katie Burk, Maggie Burk and Natalie Ralston. Organist was Steve Burk.

Toyin and Telemate Sokari

A cocktail hour, reception, dinner and dance followed the ceremony at the Lawrence Holidome. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The bride is a Lawrence High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in human biology from Kansas University. She earned a master’s degree in public health from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in June. She is employed by the Kansas Association of Local Health Departments in Topeka.

The groom is a graduate of Sumner Academy. He received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from KU in 2004. He is a post-baccalaureate student at KU and will be attending KU School of Medicine in August 2005.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
