Love Is A Great Emotion

By James Beerbower

Love is an emotion,

That runs as deep as the ocean.

Love is a great thing,

When you’re loved.

Everyone needs love,

To have happiness.

Happiness is the key of life,

It opens your heart to new things.

If I say love me,

will you love me?

Baby we all need love,

So will you love me?

Loving someone,

Will give them faith.

To keep one happy,

You should give love to one another.

When you think your alone,

You will always have someone to love

— James Beerbower, Lawrence High School junior

Join the J-W Teen Board

Students in sixth through 12th grades are invited to join the Journal-World Teen Advisory Board. We’re looking for students who want to contribute ideas to the Pulse section and write stories, too. It’s a great chance to learn more about how the Journal-World works.

The meeting will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 16 at the News Center, 645 N.H. Also, the Journal-World is looking for correspondents from all Lawrence elementary, junior high and high schools.

For more information, e-mail teens@ljworld.com or contact teen board sponsors Steve Rottinghaus at 832-7254 (days) and Christy Little at 832-6361 (evenings).
