Earl E. ‘Gene’ ‘Bronc’ Wilson

Graveside services for Earl E. Wilson, 44, Eudora, will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Vinland Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., from injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Lawrence.

He was born May 5, 1960, in Athens, Texas, the son of Everett Eugene and Ruby Jewell Hollis Wilson. He had lived in Lawrence before moving to Eudora two years ago.

Mr. Wilson was a residential and commercial painting contractor in the Lawrence area for 27 years.

He married Teresa Lynn Holladay on June 9, 1984, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include his father, West Memphis, Ark.; his mother, Ruby Jewell Allen, Clarinda, Iowa; a grandmother, Vera Inez Richardson, Clarinda, Iowa; two sons Earl Eugene Jr. and Jeremy Wayne, both of Lawrence; two daughters, Angela Christine Jones and Christina Marie Taylor, both of Eudora; two brothers, Rocky Joe, address unknown, and William Ferlin, West Memphis, Ark.; six sisters, Beverly Diane Wilson, Clarinda, Iowa, Sherry Sue Wilson, address unknown, Francie Loraine Wilson, Olathe, Mary Anne Flory, Baldwin, Cheryl Wilson, West Memphis, Ark., and Kimberly Diane Jolliff, Baldwin; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lawrence Funeral Chapel.

The family suggests memorials to the Earl E. Wilson memorial fund, sent in care of the funeral chapel.
