Lawrence High and Free State will hold their fall sports jamborees tonight on opposite sides of town.

The Firebirds will have their annual celebration of the start of the fall season at FSHS with gates opening at 5 p.m. Along with introductions of all the fall sports team, Free State’s football team will have a scrimmage starting at 6 p.m., and the volleyball team will scrimmage at 7:20 p.m. in the main gym.

Lawrence High has a similar setup, with events getting under way at 6 p.m. at Haskell Stadium. The Lions’ football and boys soccer teams both will conduct scrimmages.
