Swanson-Hill

Heather Ann Swanson and Brent Douglas Hill, both of Lawrence, were married Aug. 12, 2004, in Taos, N.M., with the Honorable Richard Chavez officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Evan and Evie Swanson, Hutchinson, Minn. The groom is the son of Mike and Lolita Hill, Lawrence, and Donna Hill, Lawrence.

A reception will be given Sept. 4 at the home of Mike and Lolita Hill.

The bride is a graduate of Maplewood Academy, Hutchinson, Minn. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Union College in Lincoln, Neb. She is a labor and delivery nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

The groom is a Lawrence High School graduate. He is manager of Dick’s Sporting Goods in Topeka.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Evans-Jenkins

Jessica Evans and John Jenkins Jr., both of Lawrence, were married June 26, 2004, at the Victorian Veranda Country Inn in Lawrence with the Rev. Dan Nicholson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Robin Evans, Baldwin, and Winona Evans, Lawrence. The groom is the son of John Jenkins, Auburn, and Marsha Alexander, Baldwin.

Maid of honor was Jessica Ellis. Best man was Rodney Jenkins. Bridesmaids were Miranda Porter, Kendra Bearden and Madison Jenkins. Groomsmen were Mark Jenkins, Craig Alexander and Acea McFarlane. Flower girls were Alexis Jenkins and Kyleigh Jenkins.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Victorian Veranda Country Inn.

The bride is a Lawrence High School graduate. She graduated from Pinnacle Career Institute in June with a certificate in massage therapy. She attends Johnson County Community College. She is a massage therapist at the Victorian Veranda Country Inn.

The groom is a Lawrence High School graduate. He is a volunteer firefighter. He is a restaurant manager in Lawrence.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
