• Crystal Wood, Lawrence, and Julie Hayden, Tecumseh, graduated from Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, Mo., during the summer. Wood received a Master of Science degree, and Hayden received a Bachelor of Science degree.
• Lawrence resident Andrew Rhoades, a Free State High School student, received a Rensselaer Medal from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y. The award is given to 300 students who have distinguished themselves in mathematics and science.
• Kaitlynn Heflin, Lawrence, graduated June 6 from Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn. She is the daughter of Melvin Heflin, Lawrence.
