Roy Franklin ‘Tommy’ Demory

? Services for Roy Franklin “Tommy” Demory, 61, Floyd, will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel in Floyd.

Mr. Demory died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004.

He was born March 7, 1943, in Alexandria, the son of Carl and Eunice Demory.

He worked as a recreation therapist at Eastern State Hospital, Williamsburg, Va, a sergeant in the Lawrence (Kan.) Police Department, an officer with George Mason University police, Fairfax, Va., and an inspector and supervisor with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nancy Allen Demory; three sisters, Leilani Williamson, Luray, Georgia “Polly” Wilmer, Crimora, and Candace Rountree, Otis, Kan.; and a brother, Carl “Eddy,” Lyndhurst.

Family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
