Beals, Riley Honored: Grinnell College track team members Justin Riley and Adam Beals, sophomores from Lawrence, have been named to the spring Midwest Conference all-academic team. Requirements are a varsity letter and a minimum 3.2 grade-point average.

  • Beisner, Reichert Low: Kent Beisner and Van Reichert fired 75s and shared first place in Sunday’s Jayhawk Golf Club tournament at Alvamar. Tom Dennis shot 76 and Chris Anderson a 78. In net scoring, five golfers recorded 70s — Curt Anderson, Bob Clark, Andy Devin, Bob Losasso and J.E. Wilson.
  • Orienteering: Quantrill’s Quandary, an orienteering exercise, will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at Watson Park. For information, call Gene Wee at 841-3587 or e-mail gmw@ku.edu.
