Nancy L. Decker

Mrs. Decker died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.

She was born June 16, 1945, in Lawrence, the daughter of Earl and Arvelda Chanay Wright.

Mrs. Decker worked at Moore Burger and the A&W as a car hop in Lawrence. She worked for more than 20 years as a water meter reader for the city of Lawrence. She also worked at the Shadow Glen Golf Club in Olathe. She was a member of First Friends Church.

She married the Rev. William Tom Decker on Feb. 19, 1966, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, John Decker, Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Kelly Neis, Eudora; three brothers, Ron Wright, Jim Wright and Steve Wright, all of Baldwin; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia.

The family suggests donations to the First Friends Church, sent in care of the funeral home.
