Worth the time

To the editor:

Second Congressional District constituents of Jim Ryun received a letter, dated Aug. 4, from Congressman Ryun.

The first sentence reads, “Social Security has to be fixed to protect benefits for today’s seniors and to make the system sound for the future.”

Proposals currently before Congress “that seek to address Social Security problems while securing the benefits of current beneficiaries” are briefly outlined.

It further states he wishes to “give younger generations a program that will give them increased personal control over their Social Security investments.”

Express yourself to Congressman Ryun on this critical subject by writing your comments on his letter and mailing it back to him.

Five minutes of your time and 37 cents of your wealth may make a difference.
