? Lawrence’s Raiders haven’t missed a beat.

Tyson Corley pitched a complete game and struck out 10, leading the Raiders to a 7-2 victory over Omaha on Thursday in their first game at the American Legion Central Plains Regional at Isaacson Field.

The victory came in Lawrence’s first game since it cruised to the Kansas state title by crushing Pittsburg, 14-5, Aug. 2 in Chanute.

The Raiders (39-15) jumped to a 4-1 lead in the third inning, and Corley cruised from there. He allowed just eight hits and walked only two Omaha batters.

Taylor Martin hit a two-run home run, and Chris Coleman was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run as the Raiders racked up 10 hits against two Omaha pitchers.

Jake Hoover was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run, Joe Crane was 1-for-4 with an RBI, and Brett Lisher was 1-for-3 and scored twice.

The Raiders advance to play Eden Prairie, Minn., at 7 tonight. Eden Prairie routed Williston, N.D., 10-0, Thursday. Win or lose tonight, the Raiders will play a third game Saturday.
