Annie Emma Hall

? Services for Annie Emma Hall, 87, Mulvane, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ottawa. Burial will be in Wellsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Hall died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Via Christi St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wichita.

She was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Exmouth, Devonshire, England, the daughter of William and Annie Elizabeth Edwards Hall. She was tutored in England to the college level. She attended Neosho Junior College, where she studied music. She lived in the Wellsville area from 1949 to 1963, when she moved to Ottawa. She moved to Mulvane in 2003.

Mrs. Hall was a lifelong homemaker. She also was a nurse’s aide and taught piano from the 1950s through the 1980s. She was an airplane plotter with the Civil Defense connected with the Royal Air Force during World War II.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ottawa and the Derby-Ward area and of Rebekah Lodge in Wellsville. She sang in the choir in the Exeter Cathedral in England.

She married Ernest Hall on April 10, 1943, in England. He died Jan. 20, 1987.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet E.D. Doi, Maryland Heights, Mo.; a son, Christopher Michael William Hall, Mulvane; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa.
