Marian R. Turner

? Services for Marian R. Turner, 86, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Ottawa. Private family inurnment will be later at Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.

Mrs. Turner died Friday, April 23, 2004, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Gardner.

She was born March 12, 1918, in Wagstaff. She grew up in Emporia and graduated from Emporia High School in 1936.

Mrs. Turner worked with her husband at Turner’s Cabinet and Antique Shop in Ottawa. She later taught decorative painting at Turner’s Tole Shop.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Ottawa. She taught square dancing for the 4-H Rambling Ranchers in Ottawa and also taught Sunday school.

She married Richard Turner on Nov. 5, 1939, in Ottawa. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Donald Turner, Ottawa; a daughter, Margaret Anne Turner, Lawrence; and one grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa.
