RUSSELL ? A woman accused of killing a Mississippi couple found last week at a vacant Kansas farm will not fight extradition to Mississippi, but a man also charged in the homicides will, Russell County Attorney Daniel Krug said Wednesday.

Roger Gillett, 29, and Lisa Jo Chamberlin, 31, both of Russell County, appeared separately in court Wednesday and were served with the Mississippi warrants charging them with murder in the deaths of Vernon Hulett, 34, and Linda Heintzelman, 38, both of Hattiesburg, Miss.

Krug said Chamberlin waived her right to an extradition hearing, while Gillett did not.

Russell County Magistrate Judge Marty K. Clark denied bond for both suspects.

Authorities executing a drug-related search warrant found the bodies of Hulett and Heintzelman March 30 in a freezer at a vacant farm eight miles southwest of Luray.

Hattiesburg, Miss., police have said a preliminary investigation showed the murders occurred at the home of Hulett and Heintzelman in Mississippi, and the bodies were taken 1,000 miles to rural Russell County.

Hattiesburg Police Chief David Wynn said Tuesday that autopsy results showed Hulett and Heintzelman died of “blunt trauma to the head.” He said Hulett was beheaded and his body was dismembered.

Wynn said authorities were still trying to determine a motive for the homicides, as well as when they occurred.
