The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic in the region this week:

Interstate 70 from the Shawnee/Wabaunsee County line to Valencia Road interchange, traffic restricted and eastbound Exit 347 ramp closed for road reconstruction.

Interstate 470 at Huntoon Street, eastbound exit ramp closed for turning lane reconstruction. Detour posted.

U.S. Highway 24 from Jefferson County to the U.S. Highway 40 junction, traffic controlled by flaggers and pilot car for milling and overlay. Delays up to 15 minutes expected, and the public is advised to take alternate routes.

Kansas Highway 10 from Evening Star Road to Cedar Creek Parkway, westbound traffic reduced to one lane; K-10 from Lexington Avenue to Cedar Creek Parkway, eastbound traffic reduced to one lane for bridge repair.

Rock ‘n Race Weekend, 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Mr. Goodcents 300, 1 p.m. Saturday, Kansas Speedway, Kansas City, Kan.

I-70 at Interstate 635, traffic placed on existing westbound lanes for road reconstruction. I-635 between Metropolitan Avenue and Parallel Parkway, traffic placed on existing southbound lanes for road reconstruction. Several associated ramps closed.

Interstate 35 from I-635/U.S. Highway 69 interchange to Lamar Avenue, traffic reduced to one lane between 8 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday for sealing, patching and striping.

Interstate 435 from I-35 to Quivira Road, reduced to one lane between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for patching and striping.
