Rock Springs workshop scheduled Oct. 11-12

An outdoors workshop for youths ages 12-18 will be Oct. 11-12 at Rock Springs 4-H Camp near Junction City.

Women's shoot set at Tuttle Creek range

A women's shooting event is scheduled for Oct. 4 at Tuttle Creek State Park's Fancy Creek Range. No experience is necessary. Firearms and ammunition will be provided.

A registration fee of $12 covers instruction, range fees, loaner firearms, ammunition, snacks and lunch. For information, call (785) 532-7409 or email frodo@kansas.net.

Bass limit removed at Sebelius Reservoir

Effective Monday, Wildlife and Parks will temporarily remove the 15-inch minimum length limit for largemouth bass at Sebelius Reservoir.

The decision was made in response to loss of bass habitat and overcrowding of largemouth bass following rapid declines in water levels.
