Elmer J. Simpson

? Graveside services for Elmer J. Simpson, 61, Clearview City, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Eudora Cemetery.

Mr. Simpson died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at his home.

He was born Dec. 23, 1941, in Pleasanton, the son of Robert Maxwell and Minnie K. (Jefferson) Simpson.

Mr. Simpson was an auto body repairman for Laird Noller Ford and Olathe Ford. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Lawrence.

He married Betty Stewart Oct. 11, 1994, in Las Vegas. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include four sons, Rick and Allen, both of Panama City, Fla., Darren, Garnett, and Jeffery, Bonner Springs; four brothers, Bobby, James, Larry and Richard, all of Topeka; a half-brother, Scott Simpson, Topeka; a sister, Pat Diederich, Topeka; four stepsons; two stepdaughters; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; nine stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel, where the family will receive them from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or Olathe Hospice Care, sent in care of the mortuary.
