Bonnie Jean Meyer

? Services for Bonnie Jean Meyer, 72, Overland Park, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McGilley & Hoge Chapel in Overland Park. Private family inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.

Mrs. Meyer died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at Overland Park Manor.

She was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Lawrence, the daughter of Edward Dewey and Pansy Fay (Abel) Raines. She had lived in the Overland Park area since 1950.

Mrs. Meyer was owner of The Drapery Hook in Overland Park from 1973 to 1997. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and Investment Club. She qualified for Daughters of the American Revolution, but had not become an official member.

She married Howard Edward Meyer on Sept. 11, 1949, in Lawrence. They divorced.

Survivors include a son, Steve Meyer, Overland Park; a daughter, Vicky Heying, Overland Park; a sister, Genevieve Marshall, Birmingham, Ala.; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral chapel.
