Blue services

Memorial services for Marilyn J. Blue, 77, Lawrence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, Neb. Inurnment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Ms. Blue died Sept. 24, 2003, at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

She was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Lincoln, the daughter of William D. and Mary B. (Johnson) Coffey. She graduated from high school in Rushville, Neb., and received a degree in business education from the University of Nebraska in 1946.

Ms. Blue was a homemaker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, P.E.O. and Delta Gamma sorority.

Survivors include a son, R. Scott Waters, Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Kristin L. Johnson, Lawrence, and Robin L. Whitten, Colorado Springs, Colo.; two stepsons, John Blue, Anne Arbor, Mich., and James Blue, Lincoln; two brothers, William D. Coffey Jr. and Richard L. Coffey, both of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of Lawrence Funeral Chapel.
