Kansas University’s 2003-04 women’s basketball schedule, released Tuesday, features four tournaments.

Kansas will play host to the annual Jayhawk Classic Dec. 6-7 with Cal State Fullerton, UTEP and Alabama State in the field. The Jayhawks also will travel to tournaments at Oregon Nov. 28-29, Denver Dec. 20-21 and Dartmouth Dec. 29-30.

2003-04 women’s basketball schedule

KU will play home nonconference games against Ball State Dec. 13 and San Diego Jan. 3. Big 12 Conference action will begin Jan. 7 when Texas, the reigning Big 12 champions, come to Allen Fieldhouse.

Two games will be featured on Fox Sports Midwest — a home game with Missouri Jan. 24 and at Oklahoma Feb. 14.

“We wanted to achieve some balance with our pre-conference schedule and I think we have a schedule that should provide us with that,” KU coach Marian Washington said.
