Robert Joseph Rongish

MINNEAPOLIS, KAN. ? Services for Robert Joseph Rongish, 78, Minneapolis, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in Minneapolis. Burial with military rites will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Mr. Rongish died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis.

He was born March 28, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Herman and Mary (Haney) Rongish.

Mr. Rongish was executive vice president of United Bank in Minneapolis until he retired in 1987. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Lions Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars and a former member of the Ottawa County Fair Board.

His wife, Rose Ella Rongish, died in 1993.

Survivors include two sons, Gregg J., Salina, and Brad A., Minneapolis; a daughter, Roberta A. Parker, Salina; two brothers, John E., Wichita, and Gerald V., Lawrence; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Shields Funeral Home in Minneapolis, where a vigil will be at 7 p.m. today.
