Police reports

Lawrence Police arrested a 22-year-old Shawnee man Tuesday on suspicion of rape, according to a jail report. The man was booked into the Douglas County Jail shortly after 6 p.m. and was being held on $35,000 bond. No other information was available Tuesday night.

Injury accidents

• Police arrested a 27-year-old Lawrence man on charges of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license after he drove off the road and through a guard rail and chain-link fence early Saturday, according to a police report. Robert T. Martin crashed about 3:30 a.m. as he drove his 1981 Chevrolet Impala north on Michigan Street near Third Street. He was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, according to a report, and later booked into the Douglas County Jail.
