Sandy Willison

Scary story contest entry

Hi, my name is Sandy Willison. I was coming home from a Halloween dance. I was really late, I decided to take a short cut. The only short cut was through an old graveyard. I was halfway through when I thought I heard an organ playing. Then the old church bell rang three times, ding, ding, ding. I got really scared, so I jumped behind a gravestone marked 1818, but there was no name. It got all cold. Then there was a sudden wind. Then there was more than a hundred ghosts erupting from the grave. Though they were all scary, there was one from the grave that said 1818. He was really old, he had one arm. He was wearing a gray army coat, clearly he was in a war, but which one I don’t know. He spoke in a deep, harsh voice; “it has been more than a century since we raided the town.” He paused then he said “Tonight is the night that we get our revenge!” Then they started to leave. Then the old ghost stopped and said “we have an intruder among us, she is behind my old grave, catch her.” HE said. They all few at me I was really scared. They caught me and that was the end of Sandy Willison. Death unknown.
