Allio-Garcia

Jessica Allio, Overland Park, and Andrew Garcia, Lawrence, were married Aug. 9, 2003, at Venetian Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, with Steve Wunderick officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Alan and Mary Allio, Olathe. The groom is the son of Connie and Andy Garcia Jr., Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Hanna Allio. Best man was Jeff Randel. Bridesmaids were Amy Flowers, Jennifer Garcia, Jessica Hoover, Genevieve Hulsey and Shelby Seeley. Groomsmen were Daniel Allio, Dawayne Barnett, Carlos Dahda, Andy Garcia Jr. and Chris Garcia. Flower girls were Myriah Allio, Melissa Allio and Isabella Allio. Scripture reader was Faith Prest. Jacinta Langford was guest book attendant.

A reception was given in Caesars Palace Ballroom.

The bride is a graduate of Plantation Christian High School, Berkeley, Calif. She received a bachelor of science degree in education in 2002 from Kansas University. She is pursuing a master’s degree in counseling and psychology at KU. She is a graduate research assistant and student mentor for The Gateway Center at KU.

The groom is a Lawrence High School graduate. He received a bachelor of science degree in business in 2002 from KU. He is employed at Valley View State Bank in the mortgage department.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Allen-Kruger

Katherine Allen and Dylan Kruger, both of Lawrence, were married March 8, 2003, at First Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence, with the Rev. Bill Vogler officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rand and Gail Allen, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Otto J. Kruger Jr., Stilwell, and Maggie Kruger, Lawrence.

Matron of honor was Kara Smith. Best men were Andy Pfister and Paul May. Bridesmaids were Christy Allen and Suzy Allen. Groomsman was Tony Miller.

Ring bearer was Clayton Kruger. Flower girl was Cassidy Kruger. Scripture readers were Laura Homer and Hannah Petr. Andrea Ogle was soloist. Liz Yoder was the bride’s attendant. Michelle King was guest book attendant. Ushers were Lucas Neece and Jeremy Howard.

A reception was given at Liberty Hall in Lawrence.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School. She graduated summa cum laude in 2002 from Harding University, Searcy, Ark., with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and ministry. She is employed in the Shawnee Mission school district.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of LHS. He received a bachelor of arts in Spanish from Kansas University in 2002. He is employed at Kruger Technologies Inc. in Lenexa.

The couple reside in Olathe.

Pipes-Brechbiel

Christina Pipes and Scott Brechbiel, both of Logansport, Ind., were married July 12, 2003, in Las Vegas, with Jenny Greer officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry Pipes and Anita Ailey, both of Richmond, Ind. The groom is the son of Bruce and Patricia Brechbiel, Logansport, Ind.

Maid of honor was Traci Robinson. Best man was Tim Lee. Ring bearer was Aaron Brechbiel. Flower girls were Marie Whiteley and Adrienne Brechbiel.

A reception was given in Victoria’s Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.

The bride is owner of a day care. The groom is co-owner of Twin Rivers Holding Corp.

Breithaupt-Hoffman

Julie Lynn Breithaupt and Justin Bayard Hoffman, both of Lawrence, were married June 14, 2003, at the home of the bride’s parents, with the Rev. Don Dunn officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jeri and Paulette Breithaupt, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Scot and Donna Hoffman, Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Jamie Bronoski. Best man was Jacob Hoffman. Bridesmaids were Janell Hoffman, Amy Breithaupt and Samantha Oehlert. Groomsmen were Andy Barnhart, Jeffrey Breithaupt and Nathan Hoffman.

Flower girls were Mackenzie Breithaupt and Kara Krannawitter. Ring bearers were Kasey Oehlert and Sam Hoffman. Ushers were Eric Hirst, Paul Hoffman and David Dunn. Guest book attendant was Taylor Shuck. Musicians were Terry and Linda Baldridge and Brie Frye. Mike Wright was audio technician. Paul Oehlert was video technician. A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents. A dance was given at the home of Jason and Wendy Flory. Reception attendants were Janice Dunn, Sharon Wright, Dinah Hirst, Karen Hirst, Kim Messer, Kris Oehlert, Kelly Williams, Jackie Williams, Kasandra Williams, Andrea Williams and Ruth Wales.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Neosho County Community College. She works for Sterling Capital Mortgage.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Lawrence High School. He attended Kansas University. He works for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico.

They reside in Lawrence.

Thach-Galbreath

Emily Thach and Ashford Galbreath, both of Lawrence, were married Aug. 9, 2003, at the Lawrence Arts Center with Judge Jean Shepherd officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Larry Thach and Terri Thach, both of Burrton. The groom is the son of Ashford Galbreath, Troy, Mich., and the late Deanna Galbreath.

Maid of honor was Jessica Thach. Best man was Alex Galbreath. Bridesmaids were Aimee Holzrichter and Ashley Rock. Groomsmen were Mark Lindenberger and Ryan Cooper.

The bride is a graduate of Burrton High School. She received a journalism degree from Kansas University. She is employed at the KU Endowment Association.

The groom is a graduate of Athens High School, Troy, Mich. He is studying civil engineering at KU.

Hodges-Grob

Jennifer Hodges and Michael Grob were married Oct. 26, 2002, in a private ceremony at their home with Judge Robert Fairchild officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Rob Hodges and Mary Ann Clifft, Cave Creek, Ariz., and Don and Paula Hatcher, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Allen and Mary Grob, and Joe and Connie Davis, all of Lawrence.

The groom’s daughter Ireland McLaughlin and the bride’s son Jayke Workman participated in the ceremony.

A reception was July 5, 2003, at the Eagles Lodge in Lawrence.

Honorary bridesmaids were Amy Waldron, Carrie Kimes and Heather Entz. Honorary groomsmen were Kevin Grob, Jason Hodges and Jeremy Muhths.

The bride is a 1990 graduate of Topeka High School. She received bachelor’s degrees from Kansas University in 1994. She received a master’s degree from Baker University in May 2003. She is employed in Midwest area operations at Verizon Wireless in Overland Park.

The groom is a 1994 graduate of Lawrence High School. He attended Highland Community College. He received emergency medical technician certification from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He is a lieutenant with the Wakarusa Township Fire Department.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Johnson-Beisner

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Margo Johnson, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Kent and Diana Beisner, Lawrence.

Wilson-King

Christina Wilson and Neal King, both of Lawrence, were married Oct. 25, 2003, in Lawrence with the Rev. Jim Dunkin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John and Jeannette Wilson, Caldwell, Idaho, and Jeff and Patty Roskam, Wichita. The groom is the son of Raymond King and Carolyn King, both of Lincoln, Neb.
