Law enforcement report

• A Lawrence man was arrested early Saturday morning for allegedly starting a fight and threatening the owner of the Cross Town Tavern, 1910 Haskell Ave., with a tire iron. Police said the 30-year-old suspect punched the bar owner in the face. When he was kicked out of the bar, the suspect then went to his car and got the tire iron. Police arrested the suspect at the bar and booked him into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault and battery.
