Police reports

Six Lawrence Police Department squad cars blocked off an area around Utah Court and Louisiana Street about 8 p.m. Thursday when a bondsman trying to serve a warrant sought their assistance, police said. The man the bondsman was seeking refused to come out of a residence on Utah Court, Police Sgt. Catherine Born said. Police waited outside the home for about a half an hour, but the warrant was never served. Neither the name of the man nor what he was wanted for was known, Born said.
