John Raymond Bixler Sr.

PARSONS ? Services for John Raymond Bixler Sr., 46, Parsons, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Parsons.

Mr. Bixler died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at his home.

He was born March 17, 1957, in San Jose, Calif., the son of Howard C. and Barbara L. (Rhoades) Bixler. He moved at age 12 with his family to Parsons. He graduated from Parsons High School in 1977 and attended Labette County Community College, where he worked in construction projects.

Mr. Bixler was a salesman with several businesses in the Parsons area. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church.

He married Diane Marie Young on March 14, 1994, in Miami, Okla. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, John R. Jr., of the home; a daughter, Diane M. Bixler Jr., of the home; his mother, Barbara Cunningham, Parsons; a brother, Mark, Lawrence; and a sister, Kathleen Davis, Lawrence.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
