Mildred F. Leiser

Services for Mildred F. “Millie” Leiser, 85, McLouth, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McLouth Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Fort Riley Cemetery.

Mrs. Leiser died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

She was born Dec. 26, 1917, in Riley County, the daughter of Matthew W. and Edna A. (Hood) Brees.

Mrs. Leiser had worked for several years as a nurse’s aide at the Cherokee Lodge Nursing Home in Oskaloosa. She retired in 1977.

She attended the Church of the Nazarene and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star chapter in Alma and the Eagles Auxiliary in Manhattan.

She married Ferdinand F. “Fred” Leiser on Aug. 3, 1946, in Westmoreland. He died April 16, 1974.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna J. Schultz, Stover, Mo.; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barnett Funeral Services, Oskaloosa.
