Firefighters plan chili dinner at station
Eudora — Eudora Township Fire Department will sponsor a chili feed from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the fire station, 310 E. 20th St. in Eudora.
The menu includes chili, vegetable soup, chili dogs, chips and drinks. The chili feed is part of the department’s fire prevention efforts throughout the month. Proceeds will benefit the burn unit at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Donations to the hospital’s burn unit will be accepted.
A Life Star helicopter will be on display from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., if the weather cooperates and the helicopter isn’t needed for a call.
Volunteers are needed to help serve and set up the chili feed. Adults or older children wanting to help can call Eudora Township firefighter Sue Coleman at 542-8780.
