Jennifer Nelson and Reno Ovalle

Jennifer Lea Nelson and Reno Ovalle, both of New York City, were married March 23, 2003, in the Delaney Vineyards in Dallas with Marty Younkin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Hildegard Rickmers, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Genaro and Bea Ovalle, McAllen, Texas.

Matron of honor was Rebecca Bower. Best man was Gene Ovalle. Bridesmaids were Kristy Eumont, Lori-Ann Fernandes, Deana Giles, Kylee Miller, Wendi Rickmers and Michelle Schwartz. Groomsmen were Sal Ovalle, Dave Gardi, Charlie Gonzalez, Ron Rickmers, Mike Rickmers and Chris Rickmers.

Alexis Rickmers was flower girl. Kristin Ovalle was junior bridesmaid. Eric Ovalle and Austin Bower were ring bearers. Diane Drucker was guest book attendant.

Ushers were Pat Dempsey, Tom Halligan, Kevin Fernandes, Hector Hornedo and Joe O’Connor.

A reception was given at the Delaney Vineyards.

The bride is a 1991 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a degree in history and anthropology in 2002 from Hunter College in New York City.

The groom is a 1989 graduate of United High School, Laredo, Texas. He received a degree in business and economics in 1993 from Brown University. He is director of quality assurance at JP Morgan/Chase.

The couple reside in New York City.

Moore-Stone

Summer and Jared Stone

Summer Moore, Dallas, and Jared Stone, Lawrence, were married Oct. 18, 2003, at the Upperville United Methodist Church in Upperville, Va., with the Rev. Sharon Forbes officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Patricia Moore, Atlanta, and Gary Moore, Dallas. The groom is the son of Raymond and Judy Stone, Lawrence.

Matron of honor was Talley Pinniger. Bridesmaid and soprano was Carrie Wilkerson. Best man was Aaron Stone. Groomsman was Ben Krout.

Ushers were Austin Moore and Trey Crawford. Pianist was Mary Ann Whelchel.

A reception was given at the Naked Mountain Vineyard & Winery in Markham, Va.

The bride is a 1994 graduate of Highland Park High School, Dallas. She received a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Kansas University in 1999. She is a producer for Clean Cuts Music, a record label and postproduction audio facility in Washington, D.C.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and film studies in 2000 from KU. He is a writer, producer and editor for the National Geographic Television Channel, which is based in Washington, D.C.

The couple reside in Washington, D.C.
