The University Dance Company at K-U will present the culmination of months of rehearsals at its fall concerts tonight and Saturday. In the spotlight will be “Missa Brevis,” modern dance legend Jose Limon’s response to the devastation of World War II. A live choir and organist will accompany the dancers.

Sunday evening, Douglas County AIDS Project will take bids in its 11th annual Red Ribbon Art Auction. More than 80 area artists have donated works in a variety of media to help raise money for the social service agency. The festivities get underway at 6 p.m. at Springhill Suites by Marriott.

And University Theatre wraps up its run of “Cabaret” this weekend on Stage Too!. The spicy musical takes audiences into the seedy underworld of 1920s Berlin as the Nazi regime comes into power. Sunday’s matinee will be your last chance to catch the steamy show.
