Ray Richardson

Atlantic, Iowa ? Services for Ray Richardson, 80, Atlantic, Iowa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in High Prairie Cemetery west of Elmo, Mo.

Mr. Richardson died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.

He was born March 13, 1923, in rural Blanchard, Iowa, the son of John and Pearl Jackson Richardson. He grew up in rural Blanchard and graduated from Blanchard Memorial High School.

Mr. Richardson worked on the family farm until the mid-1950s and was a farm hand in southern Iowa during the mid-1960s, when he went on disability.

He married Agnes Mae Messinger on June 4, 1950, in rural College Springs, Iowa. She died in 2002.

Survivors include three sons, Larry R., Atlantic, Gary L., Plattsmouth, Neb., and Terry L., Bowling Green, Ohio; a daughter, Loretta Warner, Clearview City, Kan.; four sisters, his twin, Fay Foxworthy, Colorado Springs, Colo., Mary Lohtka, New Hope, Minn., Dorothy Harness, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cleva Pruitt, Lexington, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
