Chicago Board of Trade

Soybean futures rose sharply Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Grain prices were mixed, with wheat higher and corn fractionally lower.

Wheat for December delivery rose 6 cents to $3.89 a bushel; December corn fell 1/4 cent to $2.32 1/2 a bushel; December oats fell 3/4 cent to $1.45 1/4 a bushel; January soybeans rose 13 3/4 cents to $7.75 3/4 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures declined in trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle fell 1.50 cents to 96.82 cents a pound; January feeder cattle fell 1.50 cents to 96.82 cents a pound; December lean hogs fell 1.92 cents to 50.75 cents a pound; February pork bellies fell .10 cent to 85.05 cents a pound.
