Tackle leaders: Nick Reid’s 19 tackles last week against Kansas State were the most by a Jayhawk this season. Reid has has taken over the team lead with 86 tackles, one more than fellow linebacker Gabriel Toomey.

Streaks: Kansas receivers Mark Simmons and Charles Gordon and running back Clark Green have each caught at least one pass in all eight games. … Green’s overall streak is 19 games, dating back to the second game of last season.

Beck rebounds: Junior kicker Johnny Beck made only 4-of-8 field goals through KU’s first five games. Beck has since made 4-of-5 in the last three games, including a 51-yarder last week against Kansas State.

Pegram peaking: A&M sophomore Todd Pegram also is kicking well. Pegram missed seven of his first 12 field-goal attempts last year but is 19-of-24 since then, including 12-of-15 this season.

Century mark: Terrence Murphy needs three receptions to become the fifth Aggie receiver with 100 career catches. He would be the first A&M player to reach the milestone as a junior. … Murphy, who also returns kicks, averages 21.1 yards per touch, ranking second in the nation.

Pro pipeline: Texas A&M ranks first among Big 12 schools with 34 former players on NFL rosters. Kansas is ninth with 11.
