Bonebrake-Ahlander

Kelly Lynn Bonebrake, Eudora, and Eric Lee Ahlander, Chino, Calif., were married March 15, 2003, at Cornerstone Community Church in Olathe with the Rev. Tim Bonebrake officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and Linda Bonebrake, Eudora. The groom is the son of Tim and Cathy Ahlander, Lake Elsinore, Calif.

Maid of honor was Patsy Brunk. Best man was Daniel Bonebrake. Bridesmaids were Kim Nunn and Erin Schehrer. Groomsmen were Chris Orr and Charles Ray. Ushers were Russell Bonebrake and Dustin Bonebrake. Ring bearers were Dakota Jobe, Oliver Jobe and Tyler Bonebrake.

A reception was held at The Barn at Cornerstone Community Church. The groom’s parents will have a reception Aug. 16 in Lake Elsinore, Calif.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Eudora High School. She received a bachelor of arts in psychology and human development and family life from Kansas University in 2001. She is a graduate student at KU in international studies.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Buena Vista High School, Chino, Calif. He served three years in the U.S. Army and then joined the Kansas Army National Guard. He plans to receive an associate of arts in July from Johnson County Community College. He is a KU student majoring in film studies.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Polk-Hout

Jaclyn Polk and Jeff Hout, both of Lawrence, were married Sept. 28, 2002, at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Lawrence with the Rev. Don Dunn officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Jo Polk, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Allen and Cindy Hout, Lawrence.

Bridesmaids were Christy Wempe and Josie Polk. Groomsmen were Mark Bowden and Michael Honeyman. Ushers were Jake Hout and Shawn Hout. Flower girl was Jalyn Brecheisen. Ring bearer was Josh Hout.

The bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School. She attended Johnson County Community College. She is employed with the Douglas County register of deeds.

The groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School. He is employed with the city of Lawrence.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Schmelzle-Hooper

Katy Schmelzle, Kansas City, Kan., and David Hooper Jr., Lawrence, were married Oct. 19, 2002, at First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.

The bride’s parents are Robert and Debby Schmelzle, Kansas City, Kan. The groom’s parents are David Hooper, Lawrence, and Michael and Claudia Jones, Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Amy Riner. Kevin Hooper was best man.

Bridesmaids were Julie Slack, Kari Taylor, Sarah Seitz and Nicki Kehr. Groomsmen were Dan Berry, Lance Jones, Chris Conley and Matt Jones. Ring bearer was Drake Riner. Abby Moore was flower girl. Ushers were Aaron Siebenthall and Mike Jones.

A reception was held at Eagles Lodge in Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Sumner Academy, Kansas City, Kan. She graduated from Kansas University’s School of Pharmacy. She is a pharmacist for Hy-Vee Food Store in Lawrence.

The groom is a Lawrence High School graduate. He is a branch manager for First State Bank in Lawrence.

The couple reside in Lawrence.
