Cadet Jondavid Hertzel recently was recognized by Brig. Gen. Johnny Weida, U.S. Air Force Academy’s commandant of cadets. He received the Air Force Academy Honor Guard Four Degree of the Year award. He also was recognized as being the most influential cadet in rifle drill. Hertzel received the Dean’s Pin during the fall semester of 2002. He earned the Commandant’s Pin and Athletic Pin during the spring semester of 2003. He is the son of David and Camille Hertzel, Baldwin. He is a 2002 graduate of Free State High School.

Cadet Andrew Dailey has earned honors with placement on the dean’s list at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Dailey also was placed on the athletic list, being recognized by the director of athletics for excelling in a combination of intense aerobics training, physical tests and physical education classes. He is the son of John and Susan Dailey, Ozawkie. He is a 2000 graduate of Oskaloosa High School.
