Lovia Randel

? Services for Lovia Randel, 87, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Vinland Church of Christ. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Baldwin.

Mrs. Randel died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Elko Hospital in Elko, Nev.

She was born April 26, 1916, in Vinland, the daughter of James and Viola (Buchanan) Dey.

Mrs. Randel was a homemaker after working as an operator for United Telephone Co. in Baldwin during the late 1950s and for Baker University as a switchboard operator for a short time.

She married Montie Randel on July 29, 1936, in Great Bend. He died in 1983.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane McMichell, Elko; three sons, Montie Duane Randel and Laurence Randel, both of Baldwin, and Stanley Randel, Kansas City, Mo; a sister, Isabelle Bosworth, Baldwin; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Bernard Randel, and two grandsons died earlier.

Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin.
