Gabaldon services
Services for Robert Irving Conner Gabaldon Jr., 56, Lawrence, will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery in Webster, Wis.
Mr. Gabaldon died Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at his home.
He was born April 21, 1947, in Newport News, Va., the son of Robert I. Sr. and Grace (Conner) Gabaldon. He attended North Broadway Elementary and Third Avenue Elementary in Leavenworth, and Washington Elementary and junior and senior high schools in Fayetteville, Ark., before graduating in 1965 from Classen High School in Oklahoma City, Okla. He also attended junior college in Lawton, Okla., and Kansas University, where he performed in several operas. He graduated from Haskell Indian Nations University.
Mr. Gabaldon had worked at Sallie Mae. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and was a musician and singer known as Bobby G.
He married Annabelle Nishioka in 1968. They later divorced.
Survivors include two daughters, Lindsey Spooner Gabaldon and Jennifer Gabaldon; two sons, Justin Spooner and David Gabaldon Jr.; his mother and stepfather, Toby Baker; and a sister, Nina Desbien, Bayfield, Colo.
