Elaney Pickering donates her birthday presents to the Lawrence Humane Society. She turned 9 on May 15 and had a party May 17 for her friends, whom she instructed to bring presents for donating to the shelter. She is the daughter of Rebecca Pickering and John Conrad, Eudora. Her grandparents are Bill and Judy Pickering, Lawrence, and Jack and Mary Conrad, De Soto. Rebecca Pickering submitted the photo.
