Giuliani plans return to Gracie

New York — Driven from Gracie Mansion by his previous wife, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani returns Saturday to his old residence under happier circumstances — for his wedding to girlfriend Judith Nathan.

“I’m very, very happy,” Giuliani told reporters after the beaming couple picked up their marriage license this week. “I’m looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.”

The ceremony, which Mayor Michael Bloomberg will perform, brings Giuliani back to the Manhattan mansion where he spent seven years while running the city.

Einstein now found online

Los Angeles — Hundreds of Albert Einstein’s scientific papers, letters and humanist essays are now on the Internet.

The documents, some dating to Einstein’s youth, can be found on a Web site run by the Einstein Papers Project at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena and the Albert Einstein Archives at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

The papers became available Monday at www.alberteinstein.info. Among the documents are Einstein’s papers on relativity, the quantum theory of light and matter, and education, international affairs and pacifism.

‘Bachelor’ couple planning ahead

New York — Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft of “The Bachelor” have only been in public as a couple for a few days, but they’re already talking about having children.

“I’ve seen him with his nieces and nephews. He loves them so much, and he’s so sweet with them,” Schefft told Us Weekly for its June 2 issue. Firestone chose the petite blonde from 25 hopefuls on the ABC romance series.

“I would like to have two or three children,” she said. He jokingly agreed: “We’re practicing a lot right now.”

The couple have been all over the place since Sunday night’s finale of “The Bachelor,” in which Firestone, 27, asked Schefft, 26, to marry him.

Witherspoon not going for ‘sexy’

New York — When it comes to style, Reese Witherspoon is just as certain in her choices as Elle Woods, the fashion-conscious lawyer she plays in the “Legally Blonde” movies.

“I don’t like sexy-sexy clothes,” the 27-year-old actress tells Vogue magazine for its June issue. “It’s just not me.

“Some women look fantastic in sexy clothes, and that’s great,” she said. “But I realized a few years ago … I don’t know, I just have this sort of idea, particularly as an actress, that when you sell yourself as a sexy thing — ‘I’m a sexy actress!’ — there’s going to come a time when you’re that used-to-be-sexy actress.”

“Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde,” co-starring Sally Field and Luke Wilson, opens nationwide July 2.
