Seabury soccer falls to Immac
Leavenworth ? Lawrence Seabury Academy’s soccer season ended with a 4-0 loss Tuesday to Leavenworth Immaculata.
“We played our hearts out,” Seabury coach Coy Weege said. “We played a great game.”
The teams played a scoreless first half.
Immaculata, the region’s No. 2 seed, scored its first goal 15 minutes into the second half and cruised the rest of the way.
Weege cited the play of Lindsey Ahlen, a freshman goalkeeper who made 22 saves.
Seabury, the No. 11 seed, ended its season with a 1-6-2 record.
“We did well,” Weege said, “better than our expectations were. Having one senior and ninth- and 10th-graders, I think we did great. We’re ready to go next year.”
