Topeka ? After more than one delay because of inclement weather Monday, officials postponed the Kansas 6A Tennis Regional at Kossover Tennis Center, and will resume this morning.

Both Free State High and Lawrence High were participating in the regional, along with Overland Park Aquinas, Leavenworth, Olathe South, Olathe North, Olathe East and Topeka High.

Singles action was in the middle of the second round when the delay occurred. Doubles action was in the first round.

Among others, Free State’s Alan Martinez and LHS’s Scott Elwell, the top-seeded singles player, cruised to first-round victories Monday before the threatening weather sent everybody home.

The action will pick back up at 9 a.m. today at Kossover.
