Kansas golfers struggle at regional

? Only the top 10 golf teams in the NCAA Men’s Central Regional will advance to the NCAA Tournament after today’s third and final round.

After two rounds, Kansas University was tied for 21st.

Illinois led the pack at Colbert Hills with a two-day total of 570. Minnesota owned the 10th and final spot at 584. KU was at 593, tied with Texas A&M and one stroke behind Kansas State.

Wichita State’s Judd Easterling carded a 4-under 68 and climbed 13 spots into a tie with first-round leader Jason Moon of N.C. State at 7-under par 137.

Tyler Hall led KU in 48th place at 147 after a 1-over 73. Chris Marshall and Andrew Price were tied for 170th at 149. Ryan Rainer was at 150, and Pete Krsnich was at 157.
