Konon Hays, 4, stays close to his father, Lt. Kevin Hays of the Salina Police Department, during the Peace Officer Memorial Day ceremony. The remembrance service was conducted Thursday morning at Jerry Ivey Park in Salina. Jerry Ivey Park was named after a Salina policeman killed in the line duty in 1975.
