Glen E. Gibson

? Services for Glen E. Gibson, 78, Manchester, were Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Abilene. Burial was in Prairiedale Cemetery in Talmage.

Mr. Gibson died Saturday, May 10, 2003, at his home.

He was born Sept. 19, 1924, in Flora Township in Dickinson County, the son of Earl E. and Margaret I. (Botz) Gibson.

He attended Harvey Grade School and Talmage High School, and he graduated in 1942 from Abilene High School.

Mr. Gibson was a member of First Baptist Church in Abilene, where he served as choir director; Talmage Lions Club; and Lazy Swingers Campers. He also had served as a Scoutmaster.

On Nov. 17, 1948, he married Shirley M. Milliron in Kansas City, Kan. The couple spent their married life on the family farm, and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, David, Manchester, Bruce, Lawrence, and Bill, Talmage; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
